Augustin-Joseph Trébuchon
Birth: 1878
Death: Nov. 11, 1918

World War I French Army Figure. Born on May 30, 1878, in Montchabrier, France, he was the last French soldier to be killed in action in World War I. He joined the French Army on August 4, 1914 and served as Private 1st Class in the 415th Infantry Regiment as a messenger. He was in many major battles the entire war and was wounded twice. On November 11, 1918, he was with the 163rd Infantry Division when they were order to attack German positions at Vrigne-sur-Meuse, in the Ardennes, France. At 10.30am, Private 1st Class Trébuchon was shot and killed 15 minutes before the Armistice was signed ending the war. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
