British Navy Commander. He commanded the Fighting Temeraire at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, where his skill and valour earned him promotion to rear-admiral. He was knighted in 1815. From 1820 to 1826 he served as a Member of the Parliament for Essex. (bio by: julia&keld)
