Intriqued by what he heard about the new milling machine they were going to make Geier bought into the tiny company for $7,000. When Frederick died he was company president and successfully guided the company to be America's largest machine tool manufacturer, Cincinnati Milling Machine. The "Mill" as it was known changed its name in 1970 to Cincinnati Milacron.
