Mrs. Wilbur (Mary) Dalzell, 53, of 2165 Morningview Road, died at Mercy Hospital, as the result of an auto accident on highway 20 west of Dubuque.
Friends may call from 5 to 9pm Monday at Egelhoff Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2pm Tuesday at St. Luke's Methodist Church, the Rev. Newton Coughenour officiating.
Mrs. Dalzell was born in Dubuque, daughter of R. H. and Emma Lattner Heller. She was the former city tennis champion, secretary of City Women's Bowling Association for 20 years, a graduate of Clarke College, member of the W. S. C. S, of St. Luke's Church, a past member of the Senior and Junior Board, of the Visiting Nurse Association, a member of the Y. W. C. A. board. She was Chairman of the Dubuque County Red Cross, a member of the Dubuque Recreation Commission. She was formerly physical education instructor at Clarke College and Immaculate Conception.
Surviving are her husband, two sons, Lt. Frederic Dalzell of Coronado, Calif., and Donald Dalzell of District Heights, Md.; her mother, Mrs. Emma Heller of Dubuque; and two sisters, Mrs. Norman (Ann) Bainbridge of Dubuque and Mrs. Howard (Louise) Gillette of Aurora, Ill., and two grandchildren.
