DYKES, CYNTHIA J. Age 58, of Riverside, CA., died at peace on 10/18/2006 of ovarian cancer and almost a 4 year courageous battle, at her home. Cynthia was born May 21, 1948 in Riverside, CA. She was a teacher/artist, library media teacher at Amelia Earhart Middle School, Riverside Unified School District. She graduated from Poly High, Riverside Community College, Chico State University receiving her Masters degree. She received many awards, recently the Achievement Award-National GSUSA Award. She was a life member of Girl Scouts-San Gorgonio Council/Life member Sierra Club. Cynthia is survived by her parents, William J. Dykes and Reita Dykes; 3 aunts, Della Strickland, Doris Embrey, Thelma Allen; 1 uncle, Robert Hart; many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her uncle, Don V. Hart.
