A native of Nassau, Bahamas, he was an outfielder for three seasons (1960 to 1961, 1966) with the Philadelphia Phillies and Cleveland Indians. His best year was in 1960 when he had a season high 64 hits with a .261 batting average. Curry had the distinction of becoming the second Bahamian player to enter the big leagues (the first was Andre Rodgers) when he made his MLB debut on April 12, 1960. In 129 career games, Curry had 73 hits with a .246 lifetime batting average. Cause of death: Kidney ailment (bio by: C.S.)
