Ruth ''Bunty'' Fabian Johns passed away quietly on Tuesday, October 20, 1992 of natural causes.

Bunty was born June 28, 1911 to Ruth C. and Harold P. Fabian. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ferdinand.

Bunty's early years and schooling were in Salt Lake City. She completed her education at Dana Hall in Boston and at Pine Manor in New York. She began a career in radio, hosting an interview show in Salt Lake City, moving later to Los Angeles and San Francisco. Her interview show was one of the first such shows in early television in San Francisco. Bunty was a sustaining and enthusiastic member of the Salt Lake Junior League. She shared 39 happy years with her devoted and cherished husband, Navy Captain Llewellyn Johns, who survives her. Bunty loved art and painting. She was a perceptive observer of life, people, and beauty. Her insights, wisdom, and perspective were much valued by friends and family. Charming, fun-loving, gracious--Bunty will be dearly missed by us all.

Graveside Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, October 23, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South, under the direction of Evans & Early Mortuary.
