Margaret Ann Behr, 52, Shelbyville, a registered nurse at Major Hospital in Shelbyville, died at 12:35 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 1980, in Community Hospital in Indianapolis. She had been ill for two days.
A Frankfort native, she worked for the W.S. Major Hospital and the Trans-Med Ambulance Service in Shelbyville. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Critical care Nursing Association and the American Heart Association. She formerly worked at Mercy Hospital and Florida Saints Hospital in Orlando, Florida.
She was born October 21, 1927, the daughter of Paul and Marie Kuhns Hauser. On May 6, 1955, she married Phil Behr, and he survives.
Other survivors include her parents of Arkansas; sons, Rev. Michael Perkins of Norfolk, Virginia, Stephen Perkins of Columbus, Jon Perkins of Orlando, Scott Behr of Fort Bragg, North Carolina and Eric Behr at home; step-son Steve Alan Behr of Shelbyville; daughter Sara Maddox of Orlando; step-daughter Kathy (Behr) Warfield of Indpls; sister, Jane Carrigan of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; and 14 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sister, Nancy Hauser.
