CLINTON—The funeral for Miss Geanette Sue Walden, 20, of Champaign, formerly of Clinton, will be at 1 p. m. Tuesday in First Christian Church, Champaign. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery here.
Visitation will be 7 to 9 tonight at Heath and Sons Funeral Home, Champaign.
Miss Walden was killed Friday night in the head-on crash near Downs of cars driven by her fiancée, D. Phillip Hermann, 20, of Weldon, and by Cecil Worthy, 35, of Farmer City. Both drivers were fatally injured.
Miss Walden was a sophomore in Eastern Illinois University’s college of special education at Charleston. She graduated from Champaign Senior High School in 1967. The family lived near Clinton until moving to Champaign five years ago.
She was born at Clinton Nov. 26, 1949, the daughter of Richard M. and Helen M. Cole Walden. Surviving are her parents; a brother, Richard, at home; three sisters, Donna and Peggy, at home, and Mrs. Sharon Giacomo, Cahokia.
