Ruben (Kelly) Vigil. 45, Ranchitos, died March 7 in the Espanola Hospital, Mr. Vigil was a barber employed by Johnny Vigil's Barber Shop in Alcalde.
He was preceded in death by his mother. Cecilia Diaz, in 1987.
He is survived by his wife. Pearl, of Ranchitos; his father, Juan, of Pena Blanca; three sons, Robert, Anthony, and Roger of Ranchitos; a daughter, Natalie Vigil of Ranchitos; three brothers, Johnny Vigil, Michael Diaz, and Eddie Diaz of Chimayo; two sisters, Lorraine Leyba of Albuquerque and Christina Montoya of Santa Fe.
Funeral services were March 11 in the San Juan Catholic Church, with Father Johnny Chavez officiating.
Burial was in the El Guique Catholic cemetery, and serving as pallbearers were Michael and Clarence Diaz, John Paul Vigil, Mark Leyba, Matthew Monloya, and Manny Vargas.
Honorary pallbearers were Joseph Villareal, Alfred Trujillo, Leroy Lopez. Randy Edmonds, Randy Rendon. Gary Archuleta. Elevardo and Jeff Montoya, Derek Leyba, Ray Valdez, Eric and Rudy Pacheco.
