Maureen Hansen
May 14, 1921 - April 23, 2016

Maureen Hansen of Lakeside, born May 14, 1921, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ, her husband Carl, and other family members on April 23, 2016.

She is survived by two sons, Mickey and Kevin, and one daughter, Gloria McCray. She will be reunited with her other two daughters in Heaven, Sherry Deskins and Margorie Brymer. She also has 15 grandchildren, with one also in Heaven.

Maureen was an avid horseback rider and rancher. She also did much charity work, including working with the Senior Center until her accident which caused her to not be able to drive or get around on her own.

She read hundreds of books while she was confined to her home, and her leg health continued to decline. When her health declined to the point of being continually bedridden she decided that she would rather go be with the Lord and her family in Heaven than suffer here on earth.

She was a woman of faith in the Lord Jesus and depended upon Him and His word. She lived what she believed. She was a wonderful mother.

A funeral service will be held at Owens Livingston Mortuary~White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th St, Show Low, Arizona at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 6, 2016.

Interment will follow in the Lakeside Cemetery, Lakeside, Arizona.
