Anna was the daughter of Henry Miller and Mary Dotson. She married Augustus Freeman Jennings, Jr., in Chicago. She was the mother of six children, three of whom lived to adulthood: Charles Tuttle Jennings, Guy Robert Hallett Jennings, and Margaret Jennings Wilfong. Deceased children: Gladys, Leon and Ruth.

"Anna L. Jennings was born April 8, 1872, in Harrisville, West Virginia. She was the daughter of H. P. and Mary S. Miller, and came to Nebraska as a girl of 10 where she spent her early years on a farm in DeSoto, Washington County, She was married to Augustus F. Jennings June 11, 1892, and spent most of her life in Omaha. To this union 6 children were born, 2 surviving: Margaret Wilfong of Lincoln and Robert H. Jennings of Detroit. Of the 8 children of the late Mary S. Miller, she was preceded in death only by Vernocia L. Guyer, the remaining family being Grant Miller, Wichita, Kansas; Harry Miller, Detroit, Michigan; Fred Miller, Portland, Oregon; Mrs. Nellie Alexander, Brooklyn, New York; Mrs. Carrie E. Gantz of Omaha; and Mrs. Maud Hartley of Oakland, California.
Deceased leaves besides her immediate family, 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a host of friends. Mrs. Jennings passed away quietly at her home, 328 East Lincoln Street, Blair, Nebraska, July 9, 1944. Funeral services were held at the Bendorf Funeral Parlors at 2 o'clock July 11, and interment made in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Omaha." (Blair Enterprise, Thursday, Jul 20, 1944)
