"Anna L. Jennings was born April 8, 1872, in Harrisville, West Virginia. She was the daughter of H. P. and Mary S. Miller, and came to Nebraska as a girl of 10 where she spent her early years on a farm in DeSoto, Washington County, She was married to Augustus F. Jennings June 11, 1892, and spent most of her life in Omaha. To this union 6 children were born, 2 surviving: Margaret Wilfong of Lincoln and Robert H. Jennings of Detroit. Of the 8 children of the late Mary S. Miller, she was preceded in death only by Vernocia L. Guyer, the remaining family being Grant Miller, Wichita, Kansas; Harry Miller, Detroit, Michigan; Fred Miller, Portland, Oregon; Mrs. Nellie Alexander, Brooklyn, New York; Mrs. Carrie E. Gantz of Omaha; and Mrs. Maud Hartley of Oakland, California.
Deceased leaves besides her immediate family, 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a host of friends. Mrs. Jennings passed away quietly at her home, 328 East Lincoln Street, Blair, Nebraska, July 9, 1944. Funeral services were held at the Bendorf Funeral Parlors at 2 o'clock July 11, and interment made in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Omaha." (Blair Enterprise, Thursday, Jul 20, 1944)
