He played ten seasons as a pitcher for the New York Mets (1997), the Tampa Bay Devil Rays (1999 to 2000), the Oakland Athletics (2001 to 2002), the Toronto Blue Jays (2003), the Cincinnati Reds (2004), the Philadelphia Phillies (2004 to 2006), and the New York Yankees (2006). He appeared with the A's in the 2001 and 2002 American League Divisional Series, and with the Yankees in the 2006 American League Divisional Series.
