SEMERAU, Estelle R.,
Passed away August 8, 2003. She was 77. Estelle joins Bob, her husband of 55 years, who died last December.

Estelle was born in Philadelphia in 1926. She met her future husband when they were both working as clerks at Gimbels' Department Store. The family moved to California in 1957. With her husband, Estelle owned and ran Contractors Rubber Supply for more than twenty years. They retired to Laguna Woods a few years ago. Estelle enjoyed ceramic slip-casting and was active in the Ceramic Casters Club at Leisure World in Laguna Woods. She loved to travel and this summer went on a cruise to Alaska with her daughter and to Las Vegas with her son and granddaughter. After a pleasant weekend, she said, "I want to go to bed." Five days later she passed away, peacefully and gracefully, with her family at her side. According to her wishes, Estelle was cremated and a burial at sea will take place Sunday, August 17. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the City of Hope National Medical Center, Attn: Central Processing, Duarte, CA 91010.
