Elmer Kirgis, 68, died May 28, 1961 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines following a three day illenss.
Mr. Kirgis was born April 20, 1893 in Perry, the son of William and Mary Kirgis. His marriage to the former Lucille Stevenson took place in Perry Feb. 5, 1919.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille, two sons, Lewis of California and Gene of Perry; six grandchildren; four brothers, John and George of Perry, Walter of Woodward, and Sam of Texas; four sisters, Mrs. hattie Taylor of Bowman, N.D., Martha Sweet of Redfield, Dora payton of Perry, and Ruth Ellsworth of Greely, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
