ADDIE ATKINS, 80, SUCCUMBS
Addie Mae Atkins, 80, died at 7 a.m. Sunday in a local hospital after a long illness.
Born Dec 5, 1882, in Whitebead, Ok, she moved to Duncan in 1926 from Marlow. Her husband died in 1949. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs Bonita Thompson, Mrs Geneva Levy, both of Duncan, and Mrs Evaline Reynolds, Arlington, Tx; three sons Irvin and Bennett of the home and Randy of Corpus Christi, Tex; twelve grand-children;and 18 great-grand children.
Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in the First Christian Church with the Rev Bill Masters officiating and assisted by Rev Maynard Campbell. Burial will be in the Duncan, Cemetery under the direction of Brooks Funeral Home.
Bearers are Melvin Graham, Joe Jackson, Lloyd Lawrence, Jack Yount, Alex Alexander and Weldon Finley.
