Miss Gertie Hanshaw and Mrs. Harry Hamilton were seriously injured Saturday morning in an automobile accident on the south cemetery road, when the car they were driving skidded in the dust and overturned, pinning the occupants beneath it. It is thought by attending physicians that both are injured internally. Both were in an unconscious condition when found.

Mrs. Jerry Hamilton Dies in Girard Hospital

Mrs. Lydia Hamilton of Pittsburg, died last night in the Girard hospital as a result of injuries sustained in a motor car accident near Girard Saturday. Mrs. Hamilton was 33 years old, and is survived by her widower, Jerry [Harry] Hamilton, of Pittsburg, an 8-year-old son, Lyle, several brothers, and her mother, Mrs. J. W. Hayes, of Girard. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Baptist church in Girard, Rev. J. P. Henson officiating. Burial will be in the McCune cemetery.

Mrs. Hamilton had been visiting relatives near Girard and had started to town Saturday morning with Miss Gertie Hanshaw in a motor car. A bad place in the road caused the car to skid and it turned over, throwing the occupants out and injuring Mrs. Hamilton. The full extend of her injuries was not known until a short time before her death. She was taken to the Girard hospital Sunday.

Mrs. Lydia Hamilton died early Wednesday morning as the result of fatal injuries received Saturday in an automobile accident on the south cemetery road. She was injured internally when the car skidded in the dust and overturned. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Baptist church, Rev. Hanson officiating. Interment was in the McCune cemetery.
