Bud died on June 12, 2015 in Marysville, Washington at the age of 87. He was born on September 1, 1927 to Ruth and Willard Parmenter in Reseberg, Wisconsin. As a young boy in Wisconsin, Bud worked in his parent's tavern, in Thorp, Wisconsin, keeping the dishes washed and cleaning after it closed every day. His recreation during his high school days was deer hunting and fishing. He enjoyed fishing for Bass and Walleye in the local lakes and rivers in Wisconsin. He told many tales of fish caught and the ones that got away. After high school, Bud worked in the vegetable packing plants in Wisconsin and helped maintain the canning operations. He moved to Everett, Washington in 1963 and resided there the rest of his life. He worked in the Nord Door Company until his retirement. After retirement he volunteered in the community for meals on wheels and many events sponsored by the Everett Aerie of Fraternal Order of Eagles. He and his wife, Nora, worked in many countless fund raising events to provide support to the Kidney Foundation, Search and Rescue, Food Bank, and other community needs. Bud served as president in 1993-94 and even in later years was recognized by people in the Everett and surrounding communities. Bud and Nora were lifetime members and served in countless committees and responsibilities in the Eagles that benefited others. They would travel across the country to attend conventions and participate in parades proudly representing their beloved Everett area and beloved America. Bud had a rich sense of humor and always enjoyed hearing or telling a good joke. He was well known in the family for his animated joke telling. Bud liked to travel, especially by train, and he and his wife enjoyed many trips together and had many wonderful memories. He also enjoyed visits to the local casinos and often had a lucky streak and would come away with a big smile. Bud entered the U.S. Navy to fight in World War II at 18 years of age and always had strong patriotic feelings. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleonora; his parents; and his two sisters, Beatrice and Marion. Bud is survived by his four stepchildren and countless nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Mountain View Rehab and Care in Marysville for their loving and giving care of Bud Arrangements entrusted to Evergreen Funeral Home.
