Obit: Wesley Davenport, 72, Kansas City, Kan., died Jan. 15, 1995, at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Maple Hill Chapel; burial in Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel. The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions to the American Diabetes Association. Mr. Davenport was born in Brumley, Mo., and moved to this area 55 years ago. He worked for the Kansas City Terminal Warehouse for 20 years, retiring in 1981. He was past president of the Argentine Neighborhood Association. Survivors include his wife, Goldie Davenport of the home; two sons, Les Davenport and Wes Davenport of Mission; a daughter, Barbara Miller of the home; three sisters, Evie Kaiser, Eldon, Mo., Nellie Stabb, St. Louis, and Minnie Sewell, Osage Beach, Mo.; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
