Barbara Ann (Reno) Allison, age 64, of Ozark, passed away in her home Oct. 16, 2003, surrounded by her family. She was born April 16, 1939, in Muse, OK, the daughter of Loren Franklin Reno and Carrie Mae (Beeson) Reno. She and Dr. James B. Allison were married on July 31, 1964.
"Barb" was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and enjoyed animals, fishing, gardening and decorating. She was a six-handicap golfer.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. James B. Allison; three children, Jamie Allison, Ozark, Paige Nilsen and her husband, Scott, Ballwin, and Heather Allison, Ozark; two grandchildren, Olivia and Jaden Nilsen; a stepdaughter, Valerie Rhine and her husband, Bobby, Wichita Falls, TX; four step-grandchildren, Allison, Kevin, Charlie and Betsy Rhine; three sisters and a brother, Lorraine Van Allen and her husband, George, Tulsa, OK; Betty Wieland, Solvang, CA; Lt. Gen. Bill Reno (Ret.) and his wife, Luann, Arlington, VA; and Sandra Hendricks and her husband Bruce, Springfield; two nephews and their spouses, Chris and Krista Hendricks, Springfield, and Rob and Lisa Hendricks, O'Fallon; a great-niece and nephew, Rylee and Rhett Hendricks; other nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Chuck Wieland.
A celebration of her life will be Saturday in St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Ozark, with Father Paul McLoughlin officiating. Burial will follow in Weaver Cemetery (St. Joseph the Worker Section), Ozark, with Father John Brath officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
