Ernest Gurwell, 77, of Yates Center, died yesterday morning at Allen County Hospital after a two-week illness.
Born Dec. 18, 1886 in Donovan County, Mr Gurwell lived all of his adult life in Allen and Woodson counties. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs Alice Bradford of Ottawa, and a brother, Dan Gurwell of Wichita.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Price Funeral Home in Humboldt with the Rev. A. R. Wylie officiating. Burial will be in the Ellison cemetery.
