From the National Archives Military Records:
Co. G/Georgia Inf(State Guards)
As the Civil War ended Samuel Helsley and his entire family moved to Johnson County, Texas. This move included his daughter, Margret Anna and her husband, Samuel Peter Kinser. Samuel settled first in Aledo, Parker Co., Texas. where several of their first children were born including our grand father, James Albert. A few years later the Kinsers moved to Johnson County. The Helsley family settled immediately in Johnson Co. on several hundred acres of land close to a road which became highway 174 leading to the small community of Joshua in Johnson County. It is due to this fact that many of the Helsley family including Samuel and his wife, Charlotte are buried in the Old Lane Prairie Cemetery in Joshua, Samuel and Charlotte Helsley are my 2nd great grandparents
