August H Scheper and Mary Elizabeth Kraus (Findagrave memorial 169486817) married on 11 Jan 1899 and separated before the 1 Jun 1900 US Census. Although each is listed as married in that census, they lived apart at the home of their respective parents. Elizabeth was listed by her maiden name in that census and in her 1912 death notice.
They had no known children. I did not find a divorce record. Neither remarried.
So we chose not to link them as spouses.
