CAREY -- Mrs. Effie B. Gibbs, 85, of Monroe, Michigan, died in a hospital there, at 12:50 p.m. Thursday.
Born Jan. 18, 1877, in Van Wert, she had resided in Carey for many years. She was married to Edward Gibbs om 1893 and he is deceased.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Nellie Knapp, Monroe, Michigan; and Mrs. Gladys Lester, Toledo; a son, Addison, Toledo; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Four children are deceased.
Mrs. Gibbs was a life member of the Carey Methodist Church and the Dorcas Bible Class.
Services were held in the Goff Funeral Home. The Rev. Frank Gerguson officiated. Burial followed in Spring Grove Cemetery.
