Earl Gleaton Ramsey, age 85 of Knoxville, passed away Monday, September 8, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Ramsey; sister, Faye McCarter; and grandson, Bradley Alan Byrd II. Earl is survived by his wife, Diane Mauldin; sons, Michael Gleaton Ramsey and wife, Rhonda, and Clyde Mauldin; daughters, Rhonda Washington, Christy Large and husband, Melvin; grandchildren, Megan Large-Burris, Austin Washington, Madison Washington, Elijah Washington, Nikki Mauldin, Allison Ramsey, Kimberly Ramsey Torres, Leo Torres; great-grandson, Sebastian Torres; brother, Frank Ramsey. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home in Sevierville. Graveside service 2:00 pm Thursday in Smoky Mountain Memory Garden in Pigeon Forge with Rev. Larry Burcham officiating. © The News Sentinel, Knoxville, TN, 10 Sep 2014
