Burley Dew Burruss, 93, of Partlow died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, at Mary Washington Hospital. He was a retired sawmill operator and a member of Wallers Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Edna Burruss of Partlow, with whom he made his home; four nieces, Myrtle Carneal of Partlow, Nannie Seal of Fredericksburg, Earlene Michaliga of Spotsylvania County and Catherine Nanninga of Aurora, Colo.; four nephews, John E. Burress and Nelson Burruss of Fredericksburg,and Thomas Burruss and Carl Roberts Jr. of SpotsylvaniaCounty; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, at Wallers Baptist Church with the Rev. Derick Dickens and the Rev. Ernest Cornwell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 7. Arrangements by Convenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
