The Oldest Resident of Terrebonne Passes away.
Last Saturday, at 1:30 a. m., Mrs. Alexis Blanchard died at the house of her son, Mr. Ozeme Blanchard, of Lower Bayou Black, aged 103 years. Deceased was without a doubt the oldest person in Terrebonne.Her maiden name was Margaret Trahan, and she was a native of Lafourche Parish. Most of her life was spent in this parish. She leaves children, grand children and great grand children. Some of her great grand children are now grown or nearly grown. the funeral took place at the Saint Antoine Church, lower Bayou Black, last Sunday morning at 9 o'click, and a large number of relatives and friends to their aged and beloved --?--." [The last word was too faded to decipher].
