Marguerite had almost been completely paralized by severe arthritis as a young woman. On May 5, 1934 Marguerite married Chester Cooper Conklin (1886-1971), a silent film actor who was one of Mack Sennett's famed Keystone Kops. Chester provided Marguerite with the best doctors, and she did well in their care to the point where she could actually walk for the first time in her life. After just over 3 years of marriage, Marguerite passed away from complications of her condition. She was cremated in Los Angeles, California.
