HOWARD DAVIS DINGUS
Howard Davis Dingus, age 63 of LaCygne, KS passed away Thursday December 16 at his home in La Cygne. Howard was born on May 24, 1919 at Mound City, KS the son of Willis Elmer and Mary Ester Davis Dingus. He was a veteran of WW II. His occupation was as a machinist at Bremerton Naval Air Station in Port Townsend, WA until his retirement in Oct 72. He was married to Elizabeth A Secrest on May 23, 1975 at Miami, OK. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of the home, three daughters, Barbara Ellen Fisher and Elizabeth Ann Dingus both of Port Townsend, WA and Susan Mary Johnson of Austin Texas; two sons Roger Cox and Joe Cox both of La Cygne, KS one sister Mildred L Justus of Pleasanton, KS one brother Charles Wesley Dingus of Pleasant Hope MO and three grand children.
Services were held at Torneden Chapel in Pleasanton on Saturday at 10 am on Dec. 18, 1982 with Rev T. Neal Hiatt officiating, Phyllis Jacks organist and Hays Martin, Tim Melton, Rex Hale William Hardy, Kenneth Troth and Buddy Staton as Casket Bearers. Burial was in Pleasanton Cemetery with Floyd Fyock, Sid George, Otto Sheldon, Chester Baston and Gerald Patrick of the Veterans of Foreign Wars presenting the flag and conducting the military service. All under the direction of Torneden Funeral Home, Pleasant, KS.
