In his memoir of his father - "Professor Abbe ...and the Isobars/The Story of Cleveland Abbe America's First Weatherman", Truman Abbe describes his stepmother Margaret as much younger than his father Cleveland but devoted to Cleveland's happiness in his declining years. Truman credits Margaret with insisting that the bulk of Cleveland's estate be divided among his sons rather than going to her.
