Kenneth E. Wance, 67, Aaronsburg, died Saturday August 21, 1993 at Centre Community Hospital.
Mr. Wance was a member of the Millheim Fire Company and American Legion Keystone Post 444, Millheim. He was a member of the Centre County Farmers Association, the Central Pennsylvania Farmer’s Market Association, State College, and the Pennsylvania Farmer’s Market Association.
He retired from Penn State security in July 1992 after 25 years of service. He was a former employee of Fromms Dry Cleaning, Lock Haven, and was owner and operator of Truck Farm, Aaronsburg.
He was a veteran of the US Army.
He was born in Haines Township on March 14, 1926, a son of the Late Lawrence and Georgia D. Stricker Wance. On September 14, 1944, he married Emma C. Bame, who survived in Aaronsburg.
Also surviving were two daughters: Dora M. Moyer of Zion and Donna M. Bilger of State College; three sons: Lynn “Steve” of Woodward, and Jerry E. and Donald G., both of Aaronsburg; four sisters: Margaret Taylor of Lock Haven, Sylvia Evans of Millheim, Barbara Smith of Aaronsburg and Donna Wilcox of Littleton, Colorado; two brothers: Dewey of Millheim and Stanley of Lock Haven.
Funeral Services were held at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. Virginia Rye officiating.
Burial was at the Reformed Cemetery, Aaronsburg.
