She was born in Haines Township April l6, 1894, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Shawver Winkleblech. She was married to Sumner Wance who died in 1953.
In addition to her son Edward, she was survived by the following children: Malvin L. of Pleasant Gap, William W., Indianapolis, Indiana; Marshall E., Norman
Oklahoma; Mrs. Jean Schwartz, Mechanicsburg, and Richard O. Trenton, New Jersey. Also surviving were four sisters, Mrs Marian Stover and Mrs. Maebelle Schreckengast, both of Millheim; Mrs. Ada Whitmyer of Gordonville, and Mrs. Elva Jamison of Mifflinburg.
She was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church of Aaronsburg.
Funeral services were held at the George G. Neff Jr. Funeral Home, Millheim, with the Reverend David H. Clement officiating.
Interment was in the Lutheran Cemetery, Aaronsburg.
