Nancy Carol Hurst, 70, of Sevierville passed away Friday, February 19, 2016. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Nancy was a very talented singer and she especially enjoyed singing solo renditions at her church. She also enjoyed seeing new places and traveling. Nancy loved her family above all else.
She was preceded in death by her parents, M.C. and Annie Fae Kerr; grandparents, Levator and Arlie Walker; sister, Peggy Latham; and aunt, Ruby Walker. Nancy is survived by her husband, Bill Hurst; son, Clayton Pickens and wife, Jama; daughter, Mishelle Pickens; grandchildren, Katrisha and Logan Haynes, Christopher Pickens and Mahalia Breeden, and Shawn Cole; great-grandchildren, Nova Pickens, and Bailey Long; niece and nephew, Pamela Branham and Brent Latham; great-nephew, Wesley Terry; brother-in-law, Homer Latham; and very special sisters-in-law, Janice Hurst and Cedith Manning. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Building Fund c/o Doris Phelps, 1524 Tarwater Road, Sevierville, TN 37876.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 23rd at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery for the graveside service and interment. Rev. Jim Hartley will be officiating.
