On March 1, 1950 she was united in marriage to Garland L. Thomas at the Methodist Church parsonage in Warsaw. They made their home on a farm where they took care of their cattle and other livestock, sowing and harvesting their crops and raising their children.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Warsaw. She also volunteered as secretary for the Oates Bus.
Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, one son Robert Thomas and his wife Ginny, two brothers George Robert Jones and Willis Everett Jones and a sister Sarah Katherine Burris.
She is survived by two sons Larry Thomas and his wife Judi, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and Dean Thomas of Tulsa, Oklahoma two daughters Ruth Bransteitter and her husband Bob of Blackburn, Missouri, and Joyce Ihrig and her husband Mike of Texas, two granddaughters and eight grandsons, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services for Margaret L. Thomas will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 22, 2016 at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw, Missouri with Rev. Don Patterson, officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Graveside Services and Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Warsaw. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Warsaw.
