Barnard A. Toby

Bernard A. Toby, age 71, died suddenly at his home, 526 Allison Street, Thursday afternoon. He was a native of Cocke County, member of the First Christian Church and a veteran of World War I.

Surviving are his wife, Emma Whaley Toby; three sons, Ted and J. C., Morristown; and Lloyd, Parrottsville; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, John Toby, Springvale community; five sisters, Mrs. Zenia Grooms, Morristown; Mrs. Lenore Broyles, Chucky; Mrs. Clemmie Shaver, Mrs. Lily Hux, Parrottsville, Miss Sue Toby, Bulls Gap.

Services will be held at 4 p. m. Saturday at Brooks Mortuary with Rev. R. M. Mounts officiating. Interment in Hamblen Memory Gardens with graveside military honors by the James Milton Robertson Post of VFW in charge.

Officers of the church will serve as pallbearers. Ladies of the Bible class will serve as flowerbearers.

The family will receive friends this evening from 7:00 to 9:30 p. m. at Brooks."
