It was a great shock to this community on last Saturday afternoon to hear of the sudden death of John Beal, Sr. He and his brother, Frank, resided on the Johnie Snider place north of Jay. Burial took place at Bethel Chapel cemetery on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. He was a well respected citizen and his brothers, George and Frank Beal, and the many nephews and nieces who mourn his departure have the sincere sympathy of this community.
