Born July 15, 1893, daughter of Louis and Anna Valashek, she was a lifelong resident of Iowa City. She married Leonard Strong, Iowa City, Nov 2, 1910. She belongs to the Women of the Moose, the Eagles auxiliary and Degree of Pocahontas, Iola council no. 54. Survivors are her husband, one daughter, one son, her mother and three grandchildren.
