Death of T. B. Pawling

T. B. Pawling, a pioneer of this vicinity died at his home eight and one-half miles north-east of here at 2 p.m. Tuesday, cause of death being Brights Disease, from which he had been a great sufferer for about four years. He
underwent an operation in an Omaha hospital last spring and has been confined to his bed almost continually since that time.

Deceased was born at Salem, Snyder county , Pa., May 23, 18xx. He came to Dodge county about xx years ago. He was married to Miss Katherine Wolf, March 28, 1883, and spent the rest of his life upon his farm in Washington county, where he died.

Eight children and his wife are left to mourn their loss. The children are Fred, Mrs. Marin Hansen and Mrs. Wm. Scheer of Orchard, Adaline, Mrs. Ernest Lang, Lillie, William and Irene, all at home or living near.

He also leaves three brothers and two sisters. they are; West Pawling, Middleburg, Pa., Anthony, Sun Berry, Pa., James, Freebury, Pa., Mrs. Fred Bilger, Norfolk, Nebr., Mrs. Chas. Sanffer, Selims Grove, Pa.

Mrs. Bilger and Mrs. Hansen were here at the time of Mr. Pawling's death.

Funeral services will be held at 11 p.m. today from the home followed by services at the Lutheran church of which deceased was a member. The pastor, Rev. Lang will conduct the services. The bearers will be Louis Bartling, Ed Franke, Henry Schutt, W.C. Hartung, Julius Hartung, Henry Scheer. The entire commnuity joins in sympathizing with the bereaved ones.
