Her great grandfather was George Musgenung. He came to America on the Ship "Brothers" from Rotterdam Holland with his wife and one child. The name was changed to Moose soon after the Revolutionary War.
Her grandfather, George Moose was about two years old when he came to America, he married Christina Anthony, and they settled near Taylorsville, Alexander, N.C.
Mary Ann married the Rev. John Mcallister Gunn of Iredell Co. He was a Methodist circuit rider preacher of Scottish descent.
Of this union were six children:
Rhonda who married John Stikeleather
Eliza who married Jimmy Bone, 2nd to John Stikeleather
Mary Ann married Franklin Tomlin
Susan married Rev. James Reese Scroggs
Martin Luther married Mary Ann Sharpe (daughter of Mary Feimster & Silas Sharpe)
John David married Delia Allison (daughter of Panthea & George Allison.)
