Mrs. DeMoss, a lifelong resident of this area, passed away Friday, June 16, 1989 in Springhill, LA after a long illness. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Carroll DeMoss on January 5, 1972, and her husband, Buck DeMoss on July 29, 1972.
She was survived by five daughters, Patricia Ann Alsabrook, Sammie Lou Wiley, and Suzette Merry, all of Plain Dealing, Peggy Jo Cave of Groom, Texas, and Yevette Davis of Jonesboro, LA; four sons, C. C. DeMoss of Plain Dealing, Thomas L. DeMoss of Bossier City, Danny George DeMoss of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Charles Lane DeMoss of Benton, LA; one sister, Juanita Mays of Slocum, Texas; two brothers, Edward Murphey of Woodville, Texas, Joseph Murphey, Jr. of Nacogdoches, Texas; 38 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter
