OBITUARY - Margaret Daniels, daughter of Chris and Meta Daniels, was born in 1889 at Danforth, Ill. At an early age she moved to Nebraska with her parents. She was married to Lowell M. Claar of Petersburg and to this union three children were born, Dean, Audrey and Marjory.
The past two years Mrs. Claar lived in Fullerton and took care of her father. Her mother preceded her in death in 1938.
On August 13, 1951 Mrs. Claar entered St. Mary's hospital in Columbus and passed away there on October 24, at 10:30 p.m. at the age of 62 years. She leaves to mourn her death, her children, Dean Claar of Petersburg, Audrey of Columbus and Mrs. Leo Buettner, now of Fullerton, formerly of Coburg, Oregon, twin grandchildren, Michael and Margaret Buettner, her father, Chris Daniels of Fullerton, a sister, Mrs. Hattie Fischer of Humphrey; a brother, John Daniels of Sidney, an uncle, George Daniels, Sr., of Petersburg, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held in the Herse Funeral Parlors in Albion on Saturday at 10:00 a.m., October 27, 1951. Reverend John Beckmann officiated. Pallbearers were cousins of the deceased, Christie Daniels and Andrew Daniels of Petersburg, and George Daniels, Jr., of Loretto; and nephews, Cal Fischer, George Fischer and John Fischer, all of Humphrey.
Interment was made in the Rose Hill cemetery.
Among those from Petersburg to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Dean Claar, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Daniels, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Joe Majerus and family, Mr. and Mrs. Christie Daniels and children and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Daniels and family.
