J.C. “Rip” Holdway, age 87 of the Point Pleasant Community, passed away in Morristown on Saturday, January 30, 2016. “Rip” was retired from American Enka after 39 years of service. He attended McCowan Creek Church of God for over 60 years and was a prominent figure in the Point Pleasant Community.
He is preceded in death by his parents, David and Julie Holt Holdway, sister, Ruth Calfee and brother, Ralph “Pig” Holdway.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 1, 2016, 7:00pm in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home, White Pine, with the Rev. Fred Killman and Rev. Steve Hess officiating, family will receive friends from 5-7:00pm prior to the service. Graveside Interment will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, 1:00pm at Point Pleasant Cemetery.
