He is the son of John Lorenzo Davis (1889-1971) and Florence "Flossie" Cowley(1888-1971) and was married to Wilma Arla Yankey and was the father of 5 children.

Reed William Davis, 78, of Venice, Utah, passed away September 28, 1998 in a Salt Lake City hospital.

He was born March 10, 1920 in Venice, Utah, to John Lorenzo and Florence Cowley Davis. He married Wilma Arla Yankey, March 9, 1945 in Jacksonville, Florida.

He was a Marine Corps veteran serving in World War II. He retired from farming in 1981. His loves in life were spending time with his family, hunting and fishing, especially at Fish Lake where they have spent the last 16 summers. He was an avid horseman.

He is survived by his wife, one son, four daughters, 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1, 1998 at 1 p.m. in the Venice LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary in Richfield Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the ward chapel in Venice on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Venice Cemetery with Military Rites by the V.F.W. Sevier Post #5050
