Roger Lanny Parson, 63, of Port Arthur passed way on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Sugarland, Texas.

Roger was born on October 8, 1952 in Grand Cayman Islands to parents Joseph Nathan and Julia Lindell (Ebanks) Parson. He had lived in the Port Arthur area since 1973 and was a member of Kingdom Culture Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially going fishing. Roger was a loving person who loved spending time with his family.

Roger was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Parson.

Roger is survived by his mother, Julia Parson of Port Arthur; brother, Richard Parson of Round Rock; niece, Kimberly Parson-Coyle; nephew, Russell Parson; grand nephew, Nathan Noles and host of cousins and friends both in Texas and Cayman Islands.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 11 am at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to service time. Rev. Ralph Foster will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
