She was born in Pigeon, daughter of the late Wesley and Pearl (Geiger) Kretzschmer, and graduated in 1958 from Pigeon High School. She was a homemaker throughout her lifetime, enjoying crocheting and knitting. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida, and liked to play solitaire and work word puzzle books. She was a member of the Caseville Retirement Club and the Caseville United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Dietzel; a brother, LeRoy Kretzschmer; two brothers-in-law, Frederick "Fritz" Damm and Loren Kuebler; and two sisters-in-law, Joyce Kretzschmer and Jean Kretzschmer.
