Aiken, SC - Harold Kenneth Wilson, 82, beloved husband of Frances Wilson, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 14, 2016. He was born in Sweetwater, TN, a son of the late Mayo and Reva Hicks Wilson. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Martin and brothers, James Dean Wilson and Woodrow Wilson.

He had been a resident of Aiken since 1954 and worked at Columbia Nitrogen for 32 years. He was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church and in the Richards Church Sunday School Class. He was a God loving man that enjoyed walks, loved animals and camping.

He was a dedicated and loving husband to his wife of 61 years, Frances Jean Wilson; father of Randy (Teresa) Wilson; grandfather to Hunter C. Wilson and Brendon K. Wilson; two sisters: Joann Wilson and Margaret Lowe; numerous nieces and nephews; and his loyal pet: Sophie.

The family will receive friends from 11 AM - 12 PM on Monday, January 18, 2016. The funeral service will follow at 12 PM in the Shellhouse Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Kenny Murphy and Reverend Todd Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Max Smith Bill Phegley, Lonnie Holley, David Holley, Wilbur Yonce and Harry Vaiden. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Richards Church Sunday School Class. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Aiken SPCA, 199 Willow Run Road, Aiken, SC 29801. Shellhouse Funeral Home, Inc., 924 Hayne Avenue, Aiken, SC assisted the family.
