Under General Sherman McClelland and A.J. Smith Battles of Champion Hill, Charge of Vicksburg.
Severly Wounded and away from Company for about six months, back in time to go to Texas on the disastrous Red River Expedition again wounded and out for 2 months, rejoined his Regiment, went into Mobile Campaign being at battles of Fort Gaines, Morgan Spanish & Blakely.
