Joseph A. Maier of Bensalem passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 6, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was 91 years old. Joseph was born Philadelphia and has been as resident of Bensalem for last 10 years and was formerly of Philadelphia. He was a proud WWII Navy Veteran. Joe was also an avid Phillies and Eagles fan and enjoyed watching the news but his greatest joy and love in life was his family. He was employed as an electrician with the Federal Government for over 45years and served as the Union President for the National Association of Government Employees for 10 years.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years Rose J. (Gallagher). He is also survived by his 4 loving children Joseph A. Maier (Patricia), Jacqueline Ryan (James), Judy Varhalmi (Chuck) and Gerry Maier (Karen); 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday from 9 to 10 AM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, P.C., 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Ephrem Church. Rite of Committal Resurrection Cemetery.
