Alenora Erna (Koenning) Striedel, 98, of La Grange, Texas, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015.
Alenora was born in Nordheim, Texas on January 7, 1917, the daughter of Herman and Emma (Lauw) Koenning. She married Lawrence Striedel on March 3, 1946 at the American Lutheran Church in Alice, Texas.
She enjoyed bowling, working on crossword puzzles, sewing, cooking for her family, gardening and canning. Alenora was faithful in attending church services every Sunday.
She is survived by two daughters: Carol Stanley of Alice, Texas and Debbie Frederick and husband, Gary, of La Grange, Texas; sister, Hertha Grissell of Corpus Christi, Texas; six grandchildren: Melissa Coates; Jerald Drayson Coates; Carrie Compton and husband, John; Nancy Mann and husband, Bud; Ian Gallimore and wife, Karlan; Jennifer Villanueva and husband, Valentine; and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence; daughter, Betty; and several brothers and sisters.
Memorial services will be held at Living Word Fellowship, 401 Lincoln Drive, Alice, Texas.
