Freida Green Ashton, age 86 passed away December 31, 2015 while at home in Jacksonville, Florida surrounded by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Burton “Burt” Ashton, daughter Corinne “Connie” Miller, and adopted son Floyd C. Ashton.

She is survived by her sisters Barbara Rollins (Newport, Tennessee), Ella Criswell (Knoxville, Tennessee), and Michal Pullum (Del Rio, Tennessee). 2 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Freida was a member of the Chaffee Road Church of Christ in Jacksonville, Florida.

She loved her family and friends and loved to travel. She will always be remembered as a “giver.”

Viewing is Saturday January 9, 2016 at Manes Funeral Home in Newport, Tennessee from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Service to follow in the Chapel at Manes Funeral home with Pastor Olie Williams officiating, burial will follow at the Laws-Green Cemetery in Del Rio, Tennessee.
